John McCutcheon Livestream Series — Leap! Album Release Concert
Leap! is John’s 43rd release and the 3rd collection of songs written during the pandemic. Join him for a rollicking trip through the 18-song collection, and you’ll be covering a lot of territory. From backroads Appalachia to Belfast, from the front porch salesman to the front gate of a steel mill where a refugee waits for his first job, from a 9-year-old’s fear of recess to a chance meeting in a NYC subway. McCutcheon’s legendary storytelling skills, his knack for finding the extraordinary in the commonplace, and his warm vocals are the perfect combination for a lovely evening of songs. He’ll share the stories behind the writing of each song, the challenge of recording during the pandemic, and provide a behind-the-scenes look at how his world works. It’s certain to be a fun, moving, and memorable evening.

John McCutcheon Livestream Series — The Paxton-McCutcheon Project
For nearly two years John and Tom Paxton have been Zoom-writing songs every Monday afternoon. And, boy, have they come up with a catalog of amazing songs. Ukrainian Now, their anthem for Ukraine, was a Facebook viral hit, prompting Noel Stookey (the Paul of Peter, Paul, and Mary) to assemble an all-star folk music ensemble for a video that went around the world. But that was just the tip of the iceberg. From the humorous to the heartfelt, two of folk music’s iconic songwriters have teamed up and the result has been fun, powerful, and affirming. In fact, John’s next recording project will bring in not only these songs, but Tom Paxton himself.
Join John for an evening of unveiling a dozen or so brand new songs he and Tom Paxton have written, as well as a handful of Tom’s classic songs.

Alasdair Fraser & Natalie Haas: Tunes From The Celtic Lands

They were each friends and heroes to John. Here he’ll celebrate their music, their lives, and the many ways they “made him.”
