Advanced Beginners Guitar

with Ron Gordon for 6 weeks

Thursdays: Jan. 14, 21, 28, Feb. 4, 11, 18
7 – 8:15 pm

This 6 week class will help the beginning guitar player get to the next step in strumming and bass-pick right hand technique, and introduce the first stages of finger picking. We’ll learn about leading and alternating basses, and how to apply this in using both a flat pick and a thumb pick. As we proceed through the common keys/chord shapes, we’ll sing some great songs along the way. Knowledge of the basic chords “down the neck” and a decent wi-fi connection will be needed (for using Skype). Song sheets, playing guides, and sound files will be emailed ahead of each session.
