Have fun, play a lot of music, learn some new tunes and fiddle tricks and spend some easy going time amongst friendly people.

What’s a house camp you say? The answer is very simple: It’s a music camp that happens in a house or any kind of intimate setting.

If you’re an intermediate or advance musician who’s curious about the music of La Belle Province than this event is for you. The activities start on Saturday afternoon with two consecutive 80 minute workshops where we learn some Quebecois repertoire and then explore the bowing and ornamentation that makes it “parler français”.

Over the course of two days you will get 4 workshops with Pascal and the opportunity to attend a mini-concert followed by a jam session with with him. House camps are a great way to meet local musicians with a shared interest in folk music and to renew friendships in a relaxed and congenial atmosphere. The event is designed to be a full on 24 hours blast of music that will flex your artistic muscle and make it strive for more in the weeks that follow.

The workshops are open to any melodic instruments, but focus on learning Quebecois fiddling techniques and repertoire.
